just a quick picture of my bedroom window on a sunny morning before going to the studio. I have one week until my final projects are due, so it's going to be busy busy until then. Christmas break is going to feel wonderful.

I've been drooling over these gorgeous luxury apartment rentals in Montréal and dreaming about living in one for a nice long visit. We're planning a trip there for September and I'm so excited! Love it there.

Last weekend I was getting a bit tired of my room in our apartment, so I re-arranged some things and like it a lot better. I like sleeping under the slanted wall because it feels like a cozy dark nook, and I had my first real sleep-in in a while the morning after we moved it all around. Refreshing.

I don't think I've ever written anything technology related on my blog yet, but as soon as I saw this HTC Dream phone, I really thought it was my dream phone. Shiny, sleek, and white...just how I like 'em (and almost everything else)

I love Kim's bedroom update from Desire to Inspire. So pretty and fresh, and the shelves are perfect for magazine collections!

Anyone who knows me will know that I like white things, and I never shut up about it on here either. I'm finally home from school for the summer, so I'm going to try and get back into my blog routine. I went through my old folders and figured I should post all my old favorites plus some new. Also we found a fantastic apartment I'm moving into in the fall so I'll be on a search for short-term/temporary decorating ideas! I seem to really love white plus pink punches, or other springy colors. It's the Swedish girl in me.

After a lot of thinking, and reading through my course selection book, I'm finally being honest with myself about what I want to do in the future. I want to do something related to decorating. It's the most obvious thing, but I was preparing myself for a career in Art History. I realized that museums hire experienced, knowledgeable, dusty old men. Not a young graduate like I'll be in two years. I really don't want to be an intern until I'm 50, so I need to move towards my true interests. I'm going to change my major to photography, and pursue that with passion rather than something else with safety.

I also don't want my career to resemble the structure of my current Graphic Design course: Sit back, and listen to how much you suck. Encouraging, isn't it? So hopefully by doing this, I'll find my place in something that makes me happy, and never feel inadequate.

I truly believe that I'm a Swedish girl at heart. There was enough evidence in my love for Ikea, white, H&M, The Cardigans, and some long browsing sessions on Swedish real estate websites, but after looking through photographer Anna Kern's portfolio, I think it's safe to confirm. Now I'm just waiting to wake up a blonde.
