A few favorite Desire to Inspire photos today. I just started a new job for the summer this week, so I'm adjusting to that change and looking forward to a nice long summer.

Just a couple of images that sung to my heart this week. I forget my sources for now, but they're out there somewhere!

I love this fashion meets decorating photo story shot by photographer Tina Barney for Tory Burch's Spring collection. The photos were shot in Burch's own New York apartment which she designed simultaneously with her collection. Gorgeous color!

I'm loving these jackets by the Canadian label called Smythe. The tailoring is so beautiful and unique, and I would love to have that cropped metallic one in my closet!

You can find out more about the designers in this Elle Canada interview.

J. Crew kills it as usual. I am loving each and every one of these Spring looks, and the new J. Crew collection pieces are stunningly beautiful!

I had a really nice and relaxing Easter weekend. Wonderful food and weather (I got a sunburn, owie) and limitless chocolate and treats. It can be hard to be away from home on holidays, but I had a lot of nice distractions this year. I had a very tall pile of magazines on my floor for a while and over the weekend I flipped through them all and put a post it on every image I loved and needed to scan, so here are a few!

We also watched a bunch of movies, including a couple great artsy docs: Herb and Dorothy (cutest. couple. ever.) and Handmade Nation, which is all about the current rise of craft and DIY. Check them out if you can! Also finally watched The September Issue and caught up on many Rachel Zoe Episodes.

I'm still in fashion mood right now, so here are some inspiration photos for things I'd love to make over the summer. I love working with cascade ruffles, they are such a (fairly) simple way to add something special to a very plain shift or tank. I'll take progress photos as I go!
