LinkI'm finished midterms, so yesterday I went to the mall to celebrate, since shopping doesn't typically fit into my schedule. I found so many pretty things at Club Monaco, which is always the first place I go into. It was extra sweet though because students now get 20% off all year long! Which helped ease some indulgent guilt. Now it's just explaining to my Mom how a dress, purse, and two tops worked their way into my budget....
I saw this book there too, The New English Dandy, which is filled with photos of handsomely (and over-the-toply) dressed men. I've added it to my book list, it's like a solid copy of The Sartorialist with only guys.

My last exam is tonight, but I'm finding it so difficult to take my eyes off of the nomenus quarterly archive I found on 2 or 3 things I know.
So much to look at...I loved these photos of Alberta Ferretti's collection. There are also some really beautiful paintings of collections by Dries Van Noten, Balenciaga and others. I'm going to use this as a source for inspiration often.

I'm in a fashion-y mood because the girls I've been studying with all week and I are going to the first day of Atlantic Fashion Week on Thursday night. Very excited!

This is such a cool idea! Bicycle helmets that look like hats.
I want the orange one. Film History midterm is all done, and after we watched this movie with the beautiful Clara Bow. It was so funny and adorable.

uuuugh mid-terms. I'm feeling overloaded by art history words...but excited for a study break this weekend, cd shopping with le boyfriend. The new album from M83 is at the top of my list, it's all I listened to over the long weekend at home, and the sleeve photos are just great.

I've added Andrew Zuckerman's book Wisdom to my Christmas list this morning after reading about him on Swiss Miss. So many interesting people over 70 with important things to say about life.

I'm excited to start my new little job at Jane's Next Door here in Halifax tomorrow morning. I worked there last weekend, and it was so cozy and nice. I sold cookies and coffee while listening to Louis Armstrong. It's just the atmosphere I need in a busy school year like this one. The restaurant side looks delicious too, I have yet to try it. The coconut milk french toast sounds sooo scrumptious.

Last week was a flu-y one, and I wish I had one of these at the time. I picked one up today though! A little too late, but so cute.
