This week has been wonderful. It started on Sunday with finding a perfect pair of jeans, I found two lovely girls to be roommates with next fall on Monday, and last night had the perfect Friday night date with Ryan to see The Reader, which was a great movie (Kate was amazing!) and hot chocolate by the fire.
I'm also going to steal this opportunity to take a proud girlfriend moment and mention that Ryan interviewed indie rapper from Brooklyn Theophilus London! So cool...and there's more to come, I'm really excited for him. You can read it here on his blog.
have a nice weekend!

I'm so sad that Domino magazine won't be printed anymore. I've posted on pages of that magazine often like so many other design bloggers. I'm trying to find alternatives but it will be hard to beat in content and newsstand price. I'll miss you Domino!

I was inspired by the pictures in my previous post to organize the stuff on my desk a little differently, and take some new photos. I don't have a three-layered cake plate to put my jewelry in, but I think it looks a bit better like this. Right now I'm just having a carrot muffin and tea from Jane's, and admiring this kitten card I got from my Mom in the mail yesterday. It was the best (and funniest) part of my morning.

Tonight in 19th Century Art History we talked about Marie Antoinette, and it perfectly suited the mood I got into this weekend of flowery, glittery excess, mostly because of this collection of photographs. Every single thing is made to look special and elegant, but it also just makes me want to stuff my face with cupcakes and macaroons. A cake stand is such a pretty idea to store jewelry in.

Wow...I'm still trying to take in how beautiful this apartment in Göteborg, Sweden is. It would feel like living in a breath of fresh air.
White seems like it needs to be used almost in excess for it to be this stunning. Like when Ulla "makes tidy-oop!" in The Producers. That glossy fireplace in the bedroom is incredible.
Ok...that's all, before I make a rambling mess out of this perfect space.

Wouldn't it be nice if everyday life was as pretty and carefree as Sofia Coppola's new Miss Dior Chérie ad? Very wishful indeed.
oh oui, oui.
I'm so excited for my Printed Matter class this semester. The first day was on Friday, and we're starting to make books right away. I've wanted to try designing a book on Blurb for a while now, but I think once this year is finished and I know what I'm doing I'll try one.

This song Photograph by Air has been my favorite for a few days. So many beautiful sounds. I've been meaning to get their latest album Pocket Symphony for a while, but I'm going to pick it up next time I'm out. I would love to see them live. They make the sexiest music.
Also, Ryan made a great top ten albums list of 2008 here

Have a fresh and happy new year! I spent my new years eve afternoon cleaning out my bedroom here at home and downloading new music. It's not very exciting, but I always like to start fresh that way.
